BLUF: The new crop of European Defence Fund projects doesn’t include any firearms development. Beretta, the world’s oldest gun company, is instead contributing with tactical clothing, as part of a new joint project including exoskeletons and augmented reality for soldiers, General Manager and CEO Carlo Ferlito told The Arsenal.

Finland’s state-owned defense firm Patria is rolling out a new generation of armored personnel carriers (APCs) designed to carry various payloads, including counter-drone systems. Deliveries to the Finnish armed forces are due next year. New capabilities, like automation, are under development as part of the EDF FAMOUS3 project.
