We're thrilled to announce that The Arsenal's parent company has received investment from Robert Allbritton, the original founder of Politico. Robert helped grow it from a mere idea to a dominant global media force with 1,500 employees. He sold Politico to Axel Springer in 2021.

He's taken a minority stake in The Arsenal in order to drive the growth that you're seeing across Europe right now, with operations opening in Brussels, Berlin and the Nordics. We'll also be expanding our consulting and data offerings in coming months.

Robert is involved in a number of other media enterprises. He also founded NOTUS, a not-for-profit fellowship program for early-career reporters to link up with experienced journalists in a nonpartisan newsroom.

Allbritton is a native of Houston, Texas, and a graduate of Wesleyan University, where he majored in government. He is an avid snow skier, and a licensed commercial pilot.

The Arsenal: smart, actionable business information on European/Ukrainian defense tech.

Stay tuned to find out what’s coming next at The Arsenal!

Best,
Tim
