BLUF:
Ukraine is deploying AI-assisted anti-drone gun turrets that shoot down radio-controlled and even fiber-optic FPV drones.
New Ukrainian turrets cost between approximately $35,000 and $160,000 each.
The military is still testing these systems, but has already reported successful hits. Ukrainian manufacturers may be able to create autonomous turrets with up to 60 percent effectiveness by 2027.
These developments will be a great opportunity for companies that manufacture rugged battlefield-edge compute; optics; servo motors; acoustic or optical sensors; radars; and unmanned ground vehicles.
